Two Daisy Hill mothers are launching a new private day nursery later this year after huge demand for their services as childminders.

Jennifer Francis and Clare Kennedy have just been granted planning permission to open the nursery at the Old Scout Hut, on St Helen’s Road, at Four Lane Ends.

Clare said: “We are so very excited to receive this decision after a long wait. The hut is going to be fully renovated to a high standard starting in the next few weeks. New job opportunities will be available and lots of childcare places will be available for the local area.

“We are currently childminders co-working together and have received over 100 enquires the past 18 months. We are very much looking forward to expanding our business.”

The nursery will be open by the end of the year.

Clare and Jennifer continue to work as Ofsted registered childminders in Daisy Hill and have done so for nearly three years.

People who wish to apply for jobs can email Mucky Munchkins Childcare at muckymunchkinschildcare@yahoo.co.uk to request an application form. They will be taking on Apprentices and qualified Level 3 childcare practitioners.

Jennifer said: “Both myself and Clare will be very much hands on with the business and will be managing and looking after the children who attend.

“We are both mothers ourselves and have a vast amount of experience.

“People can enquire with us at any time for places for their children, either by email or our Facebook page.”
