My Westhoughton brings you news, events and campaigns from around the town and is now the town’s biggest online community with more than 8,500 followers. It is run by the team at Westhoughton Liberal Democrats.

Councillor David Wilkinson

David has been a Westhoughton town councillor for 27 years, a Bolton councillor for 21 years and Mayor twice. He has lived in Westhoughton all of his life and has a son, Michael. He is a former engineer who now works for a train company.

Councillor Bernadette Eckersley-Fallon

Bernadette is a Westhoughton town councillor representing the Wingates ward and was elected in the January 2017 by-election. Having moved to the town nine years ago for the “village” feel, she is keen to support our independent businesses in and around the Westhoughton area. Bernadette is a lawyer in Bolton and married with an 18-year-old step son.

Rebekah is a Westhoughton town councillor representing the Daisy Hill ward and was elected in the January 2017 by-election.

Derek is a Westhoughton town councillor, married to Yasmin and they have a son. He has lived in Westhoughton most of his life and he is a solicitor. He has been a town councillor for 13 years and a Bolton councillor for 8 years. Derek knows many of the issues that young families face in Westhoughton.

John is a Westhoughton town councillor, retired engineer and has a daughter and granddaughter. He has been a town councillor 13 years and a Bolton councillor for 7 years and is a former Mayor. John also ran a shop on Market Street and knows the concerns of running a small business here. He has lived in Westhoughton all his life.
