The grass island on Gorsey Hey must be tidied up after maintenance vehicles churned it up, Westhoughton councillor David Wilkinson has said.
The grass was churned into mud whilst United Utilities installed new water pipes last week.
When Councillor Wilkinson previously asked Bolton Council to look into reducing the size of the island to allow more space for the parked cars, he was told that it would be too expensive to do so.
He said: “I have asked United Utilities to tidy up the island because it looks a mess after the water pipes were installed.
“Time and time again this grass gets churned up. Ideally the island needs to be made slightly smaller to allow more room for cars to pass.”
