    Deirdre was elected to represent Westhoughton North and Hunger Hill in the November 2023 by-election. She is currently serving as Town Mayor of Westhoughton and recently retired from the legal profession. She is also a proud grandmother and enjoys baking in her spare time!

    Arthur is a former town mayor of Westhoughton and is a long-standing Rotarian who has raised thousands of pounds for good causes, with the support of his wife Lynne, a well-known former district nursing sister here in Westhoughton. Arthur has lived in Westhoughton for 44 years.

    Sarita has lived in Westhoughton for 25 years and she is married to Rish and has two boys. She is a full time nurse alongside running a small cafe in the heart of Westhoughton. Sarita is a former Territorial Army caption and worked as a Slimming World consultant in Westhoughton.

    Christine moved to Westhoughton 14 years ago. She is a semi-retired pharmacist working a few days per week in community pharmacies in and around Westhoughton. She became involved with the Liberal Democrats relatively recently as she felt they were the only party making decisions to help our community. Christine spends some of her spare time as a member of the Patient Participation Group for a local GP practice and her focus is in ensuring that our town maintains an excellent pharmacy service.

    John moved to Westhoughton 14 years ago. He is retired but previously worked as North European Marketing Manager for a multinational chemical company. He spends a lot of his spare time as chairman of the Patient Participant Group for a local GP practice and volunteers to help with vaccination clinics. He is passionate about healthcare in the town.
