She has lived in Westhoughton for 27 years, is Bolton born and bred, and has been married to town councillor and veteran Neil Maher for 40 years. She works at Oakwood Distribution in Wingates and has brought up 5 children who have attended St Thomas’ and Westhoughton High School. Over the years Linda has organised, promoted and raised thousands of pounds for charities such as Cancer Research, Diabetes UK and Alzheimer’s Research.
